Crimson Protect covers the sight for life on everything but the electronics, and the electronics for three years from the date of manufacture. The published wording: repair or replacement "at no charge to you if it is damaged or defective", and if repair is not possible, "we will replace it with a product of equal or better value." Refurbished units are a separate case: "Refurbished products are solid 'As Is' with a 30 Day Limited Warranty" (the maker's own text). Warranty service runs through a return authorisation: "For any warranty service, call Customer Service at 800-442-2406, or contact customer service , for a Return Authorization Number (RMA)." Orders placed on the Crimson Trace website carry a separate refund window, "a 30 day money back guarantee for orders placed through the Crimson Trace website, less shipping and handling", which is a return policy rather than warranty coverage.

Exclusions, as published

As published for Crimson Protect: the warranty "does not cover component parts which have been lost or stolen; or subject to misuse, intentional damage, modifications, or repairs made or attempted by anyone other than a qualified technician following our authorized procedures; or damage to the optics that is cosmetic only and that does not affect the product's operation or performance (as determined by us at our sole discretion). OUR OBLIGATION TO REPAIR OR REPLACE THE COVERED PRODUCT SHALL BE YOUR SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDY UNDER THE LIMITED WARRANTY." Coverage is also territorial: "The limited and full warranties stated above are only valid for residents of the United States. For residents of other countries, please contact the local authorized CTC products dealer or CTC Customer Service for assistance." Two things the published text does not say for Crimson Protect: whether the warranty follows the sight to a second owner, and whether a receipt or a product registration is needed to claim. The no-receipt and no-registration promises on the same page are written for the separate Crimson Trace Lifetime Warranty, so they are not recorded as terms of this one. The Free Batteries For Life programme is not part of the warranty either: it is "available for certain qualifying Crimson Trace branded products manufactured before January 1, 2021", and Crimson Trace states it "is not a warranty".

Crimson Trace is an active US brand with in-house service. Warranty returns go to Crimson Trace Corporation, 1800 N Rte Z Ste A, Columbia, MO 65202, after a Return Authorization Number is issued by customer service on 800-442-2406; general support is support@crimsontrace.com. The company states that at its Columbia, Missouri facility "Research & development, quality assurance, customer service and assembly of more than 200 products, all happen right here." Crimson Trace recommends insuring warranty shipments, since it "will not be liable or responsible for any loss or damage in transit". No service turnaround is published, so none is recorded.
