Documented failure modes

• Holosun HS407C-X2: loss of zero . Owner reported three loss-of-zero incidents late in the optic's service life (shots landing low, then high, then left, each corrected with a few clicks) despite witness marks confirming the mount screws had stayed tight, meaning the shift was not explained by a loose mount. He said he would likely retire the optic from carry duty to a training-only role as a result.
• Holosun HS407K-X2 (HS407K-X2): insufficient windage/elevation adjustment range to zero on some host guns . Primer Peak (s1) could not achieve zero on a Taurus 856 revolver due to limited internal adjustment range; the optic zeroed normally on the slim-slide pistols it was designed for.
