Exclusions, as published
Per the policy page: "this LIFETIME WARRANTY does not cover loss, theft, deliberate damage, or cosmetic damage." The FAQ states the same list slightly more broadly, adding misuse and normal wear: it "excludes coverage for loss, theft, misuse, deliberate damage, or normal cosmetic wear and tear. Additionally, accessories such as cables, screws, and cleaning cloths have limited or no warranty." Nothing in either published text addresses transferability to a second owner, proof of purchase, or product registration, so none of those is recorded as a requirement here.

Documented failure modes
- Osight SE (RMSc enclosed): water ingress through the front lens during 30-minute submersion . Enough water entered the enclosed optic to stop the emitter projecting a reticle. The tester notes his own earlier drop testing may have caused the leak. DISPUTED: a second tester submerged a different, undropped unit for the same 30 minutes and it stayed dry (s3).
- Osight SE (RMSc enclosed): reticle died under heat at roughly 120 degrees F . Heated with a hair dryer to about 120F - below the claimed 140F upper operating limit - and the reticle went out. Single tester, single unit; no other tester ran a heat test.
- Osight SE (RMSc enclosed): battery-tray retention screw backs out during shooting . "The screw tends to get loose and exit the gun while shooting"; the tester's own screw loosened after testing. Two spare screws ship with the optic. Same failure mode this site's Holosun EPS Carry record documents, so it is a category pattern rather than an Osight-only defect.
- Osight SE (RMSc enclosed): test unit died permanently after the water and heat sequence . The same tester as s1, writing later: the first unit "suffered through a lot of my durability testing, but ultimately leaked water into the design and eventually shut off, to never come on again". One unit, after deliberate abuse; the second unit he tested was not durability-tested.
