About TruGlo
Fiber optics are the through-line at TruGlo. Bow sights, shotgun beads, handgun sights and, later, red dots all work off the same idea of gathering ambient light into a bright aiming point. That the catalog straddles archery and firearms rather than sitting squarely in either makes more sense once you know the company dates to 1993 and was started by Paul LoRocco, a competitive archer and hunter. Since January 2021 it has been owned by GSM Outdoors of Grand Prairie, Texas.
Its own branding is inconsistent, for what it is worth. The copyright line reads TruGlo in mixed case while marketing headers use all-caps TRUGLO. We follow the copyright line, since the legal footer is the more definitive statement of company identity.
Two things are not documented well enough to state as fact. Where the optics and sights are manufactured is not published anywhere we could source. And the warranty is not a single sitewide term: tritium handgun sights carry a twelve-year warranty from date of manufacture, products with no stated product-specific warranty fall back to a ninety-day default, and marketing references a limited lifetime warranty for at least some red dot models without a confirmed terms page behind it. Read the terms for the specific product you are buying rather than assuming a brand-wide policy, and note that our own warranty data for TruGlo is marked unverified for exactly this reason.
