Warranted free of defects in materials and workmanship under the Sightmark Limited Lifetime Warranty, with shorter terms for specific categories. LEDs and other light-emitting devices (incl. laser diodes): 3 years. Image intensifier tubes: 3 years. Digital night vision imaging sensors/internal electronics: 3 years from date of purchase. Thermal imaging sensors/internal components: 3 years, extendable to 5 with online registration (units bought on/after Jan 1, 2026; Wraith Thermal SM17001 excluded from the extension). Rechargeable battery packs: 1 year. Sightmark's support article lists digital night vision products (Photon and Wraith series) and thermal imaging devices among the products covered for 3 years rather than for life.

Does not cover damage caused by misuse, abuse, or improper handling. Warranty is null and void if modification or maintenance is provided by anyone other than Sightmark. Sightmark may also void coverage for a device that has been mechanically or chemically damaged, damaged by fire, natural disaster, liquids or end-user abuse, painted or purposely altered, or whose serial number has been removed or made illegible, and for units bought from an individual, a non-authorized dealer on eBay, or an auction website. Coverage can also be refused when the manufacturing date is not within the last 3 years and/or proof of purchase from an authorized dealer cannot be provided. Excludes non-rechargeable/disposable batteries. The Wraith Thermal SM17001 is excluded from the additional 2-year thermal warranty extension; units purchased prior to Jan 1, 2026 are not eligible for the 2-year extension.
Manufacturer support
Sightmark is an active brand of Sellmark Corporation (US, Mansfield TX), founded 2007, with a live warranty/support portal and RMA process. Warranty service requires providing a copy of the original receipt (or proof of product registration within 30 days) and obtaining a Return Authorization before shipping. Sightmark's own pages disagree on transfers: the main warranty page calls the warranty non-transferable, while its support article says it transfers when proof of purchase from an authorized dealer is provided.

- Sightmark Ultra Shot M-Spec FMS (SM26035): QD clamp lever did not lock properly at first (M-Spec FMS, SPARTANAT) . First-hand handling note on the M-Spec FMS clamping lever (SPARTANAT): 'The lever does not lock properly at first'; once locked, 'everything holds perfectly'. A mounting-interface nitpick, not a dot/electronics failure.

About Sightmark
Sightmark is a label inside a portfolio, and reading it that way explains most of how it behaves. Sellmark Corporation, the Mansfield, Texas company James Sellers founded in 2000, runs Pulsar, Firefield, KJI, BulletSafe, INFORCE and Dark30 alongside it. Sightmark, introduced at SHOT Show 2007, is the entry-level optics brand in that house.
That positioning is the whole story. Sightmark exists to put a working red dot, a laser or a boresight in a shooter’s hands at a price that does not require thinking about it, and the catalog leans heavily on accessible reflex sights, magnifiers and laser boresighters.
Two blanks are worth naming. Nobody at Sightmark or Sellmark says where the optics are built, and searching produces no agency contract or unit adoption behind the brand. Neither absence is unusual at this price point, and neither should be filled in with a guess, so both stay blank.
